Farm to School Family Ambassador

Farm to School Program Goals:

  • Connect the concepts of culture and healthy eating 
  • Empowering community through food
  • Foster relationships in a safe, welcoming environment to learn about nutrition, sustainability, and nature
  • Engage school community members during the school year and over the summer
  • Increase participation among English Language Learners within the school and broader community for Farm to School programming
  • Introduce participants to new vegetables and foods
  • Increase access to fresh foods by providing produce to take home

 

Job Responsibilities will include:

  • The Farm to School Family Ambassador will assist in running four bilingual workshops in their building's school garden from January through June 2026.
  • Engage school families in the garden and the Farm to School program
  • Provide families with opportunities to eat fresh produce, learn about growing their own food, and integrate their culture into the school garden.
  • Collaborate with and receive training from the Farm to School Manager to support effective workshop implementation

 

$20.00/hour
