All Positions: This job is part of the Schenectady Summer Theatre Camp. The camp will run on weekdays from July 7th-August 1st from 2:00-6:00pm, as part of the Extended Day Program. Staff will be expected to report to Door 8 at Schenectady High School at 2:00pm and stay until 6:00pm. Staff will teach acting, singing, dancing, and stagecraft skills.
Music Director:
The Music Director's main job is to teach the music for the culminating musical, Go Fish. NYS Teaching Certification in Music K-12 and experience teaching grade levels 3-5 preferred. The Music Director should expect to:
-Collaborate with the Program Director and Dance Director on creating and executing the camp schedule.
-Teach music and vocal technique to young singers at a beginner level. -Lead vocal warm-up exercises.
-Assign solos.
-Accompany students during rehearsals on piano, if able.
NYS Teaching Certification and experience teaching grade levels 3-5 preferred
