Job Description

The Media Specialist is responsible for creating, managing, and distributing content across various media platforms to enhance brand awareness and engage target audiences. This role involves developing multimedia content, managing social media channels, and analyzing media performance to support marketing and communication strategies. Does related work as required.

 

TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:

 

    • Develop and produce engaging multimedia content (videos, graphics, articles, etc.) tailored for various platforms.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to align content with marketing campaigns and objectives.
    • Manage and curate content for social media channels, ensuring a consistent voice and brand presence.
    • Monitor social media trends and audience engagement to adapt strategies as needed.
    • Assist in developing media plans that align with overall communication goals.
    • Identify new media opportunities and trends to enhance outreach efforts.
    • Analyze media metrics and audience engagement data to measure the effectiveness of campaigns.
    • Prepare reports and presentations to share insights with the team and stakeholders.
    • Work closely with teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms.
    • Support event planning and promotion through media outreach and content creation.
    • Engage with online communities and respond to inquiries, comments, and feedback in a timely manner.
    • Performs a variety of related work as required.

 

 

FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

 

  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing trends and tools.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with SEO and online marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights).
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and website management.

Job Qualifications

 

 

  1. Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Media Studies, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. OR
  2. Associate’s degree in Media Studies, Communications, Marketing, or a related field and two years of experience in media production, content creation, and social media management. OR
  3. High School and four years of experience in media production, content creation, and social media management.
